Our testing has shown no impact on performance or yield. Kits using orange-tinted Monarch Spin Columns S2C (NEB #T3017) are encouraged to follow the updated protocols for improved efficiency.
Effective August 26, 2024, product name modified to Monarch® Spin gDNA Extraction Kit. The component/product name of Monarch gDNA Purification Columns has changed to Monarch Spin Columns S2C, and these columns are now tinted orange. The specifications have been updated for the mass of DNA tested on the columns and the minimum DNA requirement for the Tissue Lysis Buffer yield.
Effective March 14, 2024: Proteinase K, Molecular Biology Grade component number has changed with the concentration changing from 800U/ml to 20 mg/ml.
