Product Introduction

Mechanism of EnCloseTelA Protelomerase
  • EnClose TelA Protelomerase is a telomere resolvase
  • Cuts dsDNA at a minimal (26 bp) or full (50 bp) TelA recognition sequence
  • Leaves covalently closed ends through hairpin formation via tyrosine-mediated cleavage
  • Retains full activity using a minimal 26 bp recognition site.

    Product Information

    Description

EnClose TelA Protelomerase is a telomere resolvase that cuts dsDNA at a 50 bp recognition sequence and leaves covalently closed ends at the site of cleavage through hairpin formation. A minimal 26 bp sequence can also be utilized by the enzyme while retaining full activity.

Full recognition site (50 bp) and minimal recognition site (26 bp) of EnCloseTelA Protelomerase

    Product Source:

An E. coli strain that carries a recombinant plasmid encoding an engineered TelA Protelomerase from the Gram-negative bacteria Agrobacterium tumefaciens and retains an N-terminal 8x His-tag.
