Product Introduction
An affinity matrix for the small-scale isolation and purification of maltose binding protein (MBP)-fusion proteins.
- Amylose is covalently coupled to a superparamagnetic particle through a linkage that is stable and leak resistant over a wide pH range, thereby permitting the isolation of MBP-fusion proteins from cell culture supernatants
- Immobilized fusion proteins can be used in subsequent experiments to capture (pull down) target proteins from crude cell lysates that may interact with the immobilized fusion protein
- Binding capacity of 10 µg MBP5*-paromyosin ΔSal fusion protein/mg amylose magnetic beads
- Quick, small-scale purification of MBP-fusion proteins affords higher throughput and efficiency
